New local study to evaluate in-reach program aims to improve healthcare access for adults in residential aged care
Western Alliance, a regional Research Translation Centre accredited by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), in collaboration with The Grampians Region Health Service Partnership (GRHSP), the health service network for the Grampians region, has officially launched an evaluation of the Grampians Residential In Reach (RIR) Program, an initiative designed to improve access to specialist healthcare for older adults living in residential aged care homes across rural and regional western Victoria.

Grampians Health team members dominate RFDS scholarship awards
Two Grampians Health team members training to become nurses have won highly coveted scholarships from the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Horsham Enrolled Nurse Tammy McDonald and Ballarat Program Assistant Chloe James both won the scholarships to support their nursing studies. Adding to their achievement is the fact that only four scholarships were awarded to nurse trainees in Victoria for 2025.

Grampians Health welcomed the Victorian Minister for Health Infrastructure Melissa Horne onsite yesterday to inspect progress of the $655 million Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment – Ballarat’s biggest infrastructure project.
