Allied health plays a significant role in meeting the supportive care needs of patients with cancer from the point of diagnosis through to survivorship or palliative care. While the primary aim of medical interventions relate to surgical removal, chemical ablation, or irradiation of cancer cells, allied health services support the psychological impact of a diagnosis on clients and families, maximise physical function for patients before, during and after treatment, manage nutrition and overall physical fitness, and support other needs arising from either the cancer, or the debilitating effects of treatment.

If you believe you would benefit from Allied Health, please discuss a referral with your treating health professional.
